Modern Mud is a social enterprise that transforms a hazardous waste called Spent Bleaching Earth from the vegetable oil industry in Thailand into Jewelry. Through an artisan training program, the jewelry are handmade by teenage Burmese refugees. All sales go to the refugee school/center in Ratchaburi, west of Thailand.
